NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH Consejo, Corozal

Meeting minutes – November 5, 2007

Meeting minutes – November 5, 2007

The Meeting was held at the Consejo Shores Community Center and began at
10:30 a.m. Approximately 12 residents attended and 2 guests. The Corozal
Police did not make it to this meeting.

Our new residents, Klari Hahn and Gerry Normandin, introduced
themselves. They plan to live here as snowbirds in their newly completed
house. Then everyone in attendance introduced themselves. The 2 guests
were Mr Acosta, who is running for area representative for Corozal North
and his assistant. Mr Acosta gave a brief overview of his area and his
goals. He said he wanted to assist anyone who wanted to gain nationality.

Treasury Report – There is $201 in the general Fundraising account. It
was decided to spend $40.00 from the treasury to have the meeting room
cleaned.

Garbage Report – With all the hurricane debris being hauled to the
Consejo Rd. Dump Site, the place was beginning to get overloaded. The
Town Board was contacted and they got a bulldozer to the sight and made
significant improvements in cleaning and access.

Security Report – More detail was given on the break-in at one
residence, where nothing was taken. The police came the day after the
incident was reported. Ed Plunkett will follow up with the police about
their response time. A discussion continued about heightened awareness
to suspicious activity.

Follow up from Last Meeting – CSL prepared a list of all property
owners. A discussion continued about forming a Property Owners Interest
Group which would hold separate meetings from Neighborhood Watch. No
further action was organized.

Library – The library is being looked after by interested volunteers.
Please turn off the lights and the fans when you leave. Discussion
continued about opening and closing the building.

New Item - It was suggested to have an Adopt-A-Green contest for the
golf course. Anyone interested should contact Lorenzo Forbes and or Kayo
Wildman.

Our next meeting will be next month on the first Monday in December, the
3rd. See you there.
